Out Now: 2020 Move For Hunger Allied Van Lines Impact Report

by Ryan Cox on Mar 2, 2021

People purge a lot of things when they move, including perfectly good food. More than 50 million Americans face hunger every day and on top of that, 40% of the food produced in the U.S. every year is wasted. Move for Hunger offers a sustainable solution to this issue, providing people with the opportunity to donate their food when they move.

The 2020 Move For Hunger Allied Van Lines Impact Report was just released, boasting huge numbers in food collection. Last year with the help of our community, Move For Hunger collected 1,159,703 pounds of food, which is nearly 967,000 meals. Allied Van Lines contributed over 80,000 pounds of food to that total.

Allied Van Lines has helped provide over 4,269,084 meals to families in need through the years. If you would like to donate food during your move or learn more about this program, please contact your local Allied Van Lines agent today.

Carey Moving & Storage is a proud agent of Allied. We are happy to support this excellent cause.
